Crunch Time

12 weeks from today is race day. My goals for the August training block are focused on race specific sessions as well as cleaning up my diet.  Here is my training plan for this week:

Monday:  Strong Like Bull strength training and a 45-minute swim

Tuesday: 2-hour recovery ride

Wednesday: Treadmill HIITs with 2 x 0.50 followed by 8 x 0.25  total mile = 6 and a 45 minute swim

Thursday: 8 x 1.5 minutes LT intervals

Friday:  Strong Like Bull strength training and a 45-minute swim

Saturday: 40 mile group ride, lots of rollers

Sunday:  LSD run of 9 miles

I am also working on my nutritional plan.  The sweet spot for my daily carb intake is 130 grams with a total caloric intake of about 2400 calories daily.

I am also experimenting with the ucan gels with their slow starch ingredients.
